Hey there;

This past month has been a great one for Hawaii in a lot of ways. Father Damien who served the lepers on the tiny island of Molokai was canonized. It was big news and really powerful.

I watched Molokai: The Story of Father Damien on DVD not long ago and David is just amazing in it. I highly recommend it. Although the story is a little slow, David Wenham really makes up for it. Very different from many of the roles we are used to seeing him in too.

Check it out. http://fanzone50.com/DW/FtrDamien.html  (some background)

I haven't gotten around to seeing it myself, partly because it sounds quite "heavy" (although inspiring).  I've heard nothing but good things about DW's performance in it, though.  Isn't it funny how he usually plays people who are either very good, very bad, or very very very weird?

I like this movie very much. David is great in it. But the movie is very sad too, especially the end.  Cry

Yes, you're right, Cressida. David uses to play very bad boy or very noble men. In his new movie 'Pope Joan', he plays the noble, brave, romantic knight Count Gerold. I have watched the movie 5 times.  Love
